GlucIQ uses Apple Health as a bridge to read glucose data from your CGM and activity data from your watch or phone.
What GlucIQ Reads
| Data Type | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Blood Glucose | Glucose trend overlays and TIR calculation |
| Active Energy | Context for exercise-related glucose patterns |
| Steps | Activity level context |
What GlucIQ Does NOT Read
- Heart rate
- Sleep data
- Body measurements
- Medications
- Other health records
Permissions
When you connect Apple Health, iOS shows a permission screen where you choose exactly which data types to share. You can revoke access at any time in iOS Settings → Health → Data Access.
Data Flow
Apple Health support is planned, not a verified live integration. Before launch, the app flow and privacy documentation will state which data is read locally and whether any cloud processing or support access applies.
